MAR ADENTRO CABOS, Baja Sur, Mexico, where the desert meets the ocean to create heaven..
The first time I set foot on Baja California in 1986, only a handful of shabby cheap hotels, brothels and campgrounds without facilities were shattered around the peninsula. Nevertheless those were the best 3 months of my life…crystal clear warm water, beautiful empty beaches, surrounded by a rugged, godforsaken desert full of snakes and scorpions. Fresh fish out of the sea with quesadillas and cerveza was the food of choice. Since then a lot has changed – meet the Hotel MAR ADENTRO CABOS an ultra-modern take on luxury.
Seeming to float on the dramatic Baja California Sur shoreline, the Mar Adentro Cabos with it’s monolithic architecture is a breathtaking minimalistic take on luxury.
The pristine white walls and huge windows are corresponding beautifully with the blue skies above and the deep blue sea beyond. There is a state-of-the-art gym, the great Mar Abierto Spa and two spectacular oceanfront pools. For the unlikely event that you feel like leaving your room, you can enjoy the vibrant nightlife just minutes away in Cabo San Lucas or of course the beach…
There are two restaurants in the hotel the Origen and Nido, at the Origen exquisite vernacular Mexican Cuisine is served and the Nido is said to have the best Japanese food in San Jose del Cabo. Beautiful views and inventive interior is included.
